Another week, and another destination. This time we’re virtually landing in Copenhagen, one of the cities I definitely wouldn’t mind living in at least for some time. For the five years, I lived in London, I always found cheap flights to the Nordic capitals. Of course, whilst the flights were cheap, the destination is amongst the most expensive ones in Europe… so my stay lasts simply for three days maximum. A shame for sure… especially for a city such as Copenhagen, with so much to see and do. And especially when you’re unlucky with the weather.
I considered Copenhagen to be the cosiest capital of the Nordics. I loved how vibrant the city was, full of young and healthy-looking people, great food and lots of cultures. The air is so clean, maybe because so many of its inhabitants cycle everywhere. Plus everyone seemed to speak perfect English, which is obviously a plus.
I visited the city with a friend back in 2018, end of August (article here). While we were fortunate with the weather in the first 2 days, on the last day of our trip is was pouring hard for the whole day. We then decided to visit the Rosenborg Castle and taking advantage of any openings to absorb the life of the main commercial street Strøget. Here are some of my favourite shots from the trip.
That is all for today, hope you enjoyed this pics. Have you visited Copenhagen? If not, is it on your list? Would love to hear your thoughts, as always.
