As a fashion lover, not going to Antwerp’s Fashion Museum being in Antwerp (just Belgian style capital), would be a sin. And if you do go to Antwerp and you are indecisive about where to go, I must recommend this museum. Do go. Do enjoy. It is a small visit, but it would be worth it. It is a demonstration of great design that can also tell you a lot about Belgian culture. Fashion, as a form of Art, is surely a medium of values, attitudes and ideas.
The museum is a great source of inspiration, putting together belgian designing with paintings in perfect harmony. You can admire the patterns and understand their inspiration, but also get a deeper knowledge on great belgian designers – my personal favorite Veronique Branquinho (Belgian born with Portuguese ancestry).
Love the MoMu! I lived in Antwerp for a while and I so miss the Zuid fashion stores. Ahhh Antwerp… sigh!

I would so love to go to this museum. I love fashion and I love the groundbreaking designs of Flemish designers, especially Veronique Branquinho and Maison Martin Margiela!
I have been to Bruges before (only a stop over on a cruise ship around Northern Europe) and thought that it was really stunning and beautiful, but I would love to go back again and see Ghent, Brussels and of coursr Antwerp! I have heard thst they have gorgeous lace and tapestries, too. Also really want to see the famous and beautiful Catholic Cathedral in Ghent and see their gorgeous and famous altarpiece by Jan Van Eyck. Love Belgian chocolate like Godiva, too!! What is wrong with Truffletini by Godiva?! Yum….
